After 35 years of making more than 50 films such as Joker, Irishman, Chicago Seven, The Wolf of Wall Street, 5 Spiderman Movies, Taking of Pelham 123, Big, Working Girl, and Across the Universe, Richard Baratta is back to his first passion, music. Accomplished as a drummer, Baratta’s performance features Jazz and Latin takes on songs associated with many of our favorite movie scores. His latest heralded recording, Music in Film: The Reel Deal, was on the top radio Jazzlist charts for 10 straight weeks and has received more than 1.2 million streams on Spotify and 85,000 listeners per month.
The quartet includes jazz and Latin great Bill O’Connell on piano, Michael Goetz on bass and percussionist Paul Rossman. Baratta will also conduct a Q+A after the concert. For tickets and more information, go to www.madisonartsnj.org.
