Pets Rock! Concert To Benefit St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center In Madison, June 27

Pets Rock!, a showcase of area bands to benefit St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center’s animal shelters in Madison and North Branch takes place June 27th at Roxy and Duke’s Roadhouse in Dunellen.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 at www.sthuberts.org/PetsRock or at the door for $20. No one under the age of 21 will be admitted.

Guests will be treated to performances from several popular New Jersey bands donating their talents to raise funds for homeless animals. Performers include Max Headroom, Brian Voynick and Friends, Amy Ward Trio, and the Somerville School of Rock. Q104.3’s Maria Milito will emcee the evening, which includes a 50/50 raffle and tricky tray auction with all proceeds donated to St. Hubert’s.

Pets Rock! is organized by local musician Kamran Vaziri and his wife Kristine, who were motivated to organize a benefit where all money raised could help animals in need.

“Since animals don’t have a voice, we wanted to be their voice - music seemed to make the most sense,” said Kristine.

Kamran’s passion for music combined with Kristine’s love of animals has been the driving force to making this event come to life. St. Hubert’s encourages music and animal lovers to come out and enjoy some great talent while supporting homeless animals.

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center operates two shelter locations with a third opening in 2015, and a renowned dog training center. The organization also houses the ASPCA (R) Behavior Rehabilitation Center, a ground-breaking behavior program for dogs that were victims of puppy mills, hoarding, or other abuse.

The organization was founded in 1939 and additionally provides a variety of programs including humane education throughout northern New Jersey, pet therapy, a pet food pantry, low-cost spay/neuter of community cats, a pet helpline, and a professional education series.
