Police Blotter: Multiple Drug Charge Arrests Made
Pennsylvania pair in possession of schedule 1 narcotic.

On March 9, police arrested James Borowski Jr., 32, and Christine Wolanski, 41, both of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and charged them with possession of a schedule 1 narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Borowski for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that they were in possession of narcotics. They were transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail each. Borowski was issued motor vehicle summons for maintenance of lamps and driving with a suspended driver's license.
On March 9, police arrested Brian Guarino, 38 of Lake Hiawatha, on the strength of a $700 criminal warrant. Police were alerted by Hudson County Authorities, who had Guarino in custody. Guarino was transported to the Morris County Correction Facility in lieu of bail.
On March 10, police arrested Whitney Stevens, 24 of Montclair, and charged her with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Stevens for a motor vehicle violation. It determined she was in possession of narcotics. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, she was released pending a court appearance. Stevens was also issued motor vehicle summons for tinted front windows and possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle.

On March 11, police arrested Melinda Kiss, 32 of Elmwood Park, and charged her with driving while under the influence. Police initially stopped Kiss for a speeding violation. It was determined she was under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released to a friend. Kiss was also issued motor vehicle summons for speeding and careless driving.
The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 14 medical emergencies during the past week. The police department investigated six motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
