Rescue Dogs Flown In by Private Jet Headed for Madison

Adoption event is planned at Pet Valu.

Fifteen rescue puppies who arrived at Morristown Municipal Airport via private jet are among the dogs a nonprofit aims to place at a series of adoption events, including one at Pet Valu in Madison.

In June, Home for Good Dog Rescue helped saved about 100 puppies and dogs in Georgia from euthanasia, and Dirk van der Sterre, owner/manager of FTC FBO at Morristown Airport, volunteered to carry 15 of those dogs on his jet.

The relationship between van der Sterre and the Berkeley Heights-based group began when he watched an airplane transport come in to his airport and he met volunteers and pilots who work through a nonprofit group called Pilots N Paws.
