School Crossing Guards Needed In Madison Borough

The position is a part-time position with a salary of $20.62 an hour, according to Madison officials.

MADISON, NJ — The Borough of Madison is currently looking to hire for the position of substitute school crossing guards, and eligible local residents should apply if they’re interested, authorities say.

According to the municipal website, the part-time position comes with a salary of $20.62 per hour but comes with no benefits.

In order to apply, interested parties must fill out a Borough Application and mail it or deliver it in person to the Clerk's office at Borough of Madison, 50 Kings Road, Madison, NJ 07940.

No faxes or emails are accepted, officials said.

The Madison Borough School District currently has approximately 35 crossing guards, which all participated in early school crossing guard training earlier this year.

Mayor Conley and Chief Miscia praised the crossing guards' efforts and expressed their gratitude for what they do every day of the school year, in all conditions, to make sure our school-age students arrive and depart from their destinations safely.
