During a recent board of education meeting, Madison Superintendent Mark Schwarz announced that two district employees would be leaving the district in the coming weeks.
Dan Ross, Assistant Superintendent, has accepted a position as the new Superintendent of Dunnellon Schools, and Andrea Padelsky, High School Assistant Principal in charge of Athletics, has accepted a position as Assistant Principal at Jefferson Township High School, Schwarz said.
"We are not going to be hiring a replacement assistant superintendent. Instead, we are going to divide up Mr. Ross’s responsibilities… His assignments pulled him between HR and curriculum and instruction,” Schwarz said.
The plan is to hire someone whose sole focus and attention will be on curriculum and instruction, according to the board.
A special meeting will be held prior to the Aug. board meeting to discuss all potential new hires and candidates, according to Schwarz.
