Although Chatham and Madison residents can still hold sales without registering, paying the registration fee gets your home on the yard sale map.
This spring, the community yard sale raised over $1000 for the Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA), and officials are hoping for a repeat performance this time.
"Madison Environmental Commission is once again encouraging residents to go green by hosting individual yard sales on one common date at one common time," officials said.
