Madison Police informed residents of upcoming construction projects, which are expected to create traffic delays in the borough.

Public Service Electric and Gas Company will begin work replacing a gas main on Ridgedale Avenue this week prior to the municipal road reconstruction work planned this summer. Madison Police said the gas main replacement work will consist of 3,100 feet of a new gas main, ending at Central Avenue, followed by the replacement of individual gas services.

Motorists should expect traffic delays and temporary traffic control signage in the areas of the construction. Additionally, individual residents may anticipate separate contacts from the utility company, police said.
