Madison U11 All Stars Win Summer League Championship

The U11 Madison All Stars baseball team won the NJ Suburban League Championship on Friday with a 4-1 win over Verona at the Sonny Vitale Memorial Field.

Madison built a lead with solid hitting throughout the lineup, and held Verona to four hits.

The win capped an undefeated season for Madison, which finished the regular season with a 10-0 record. The team advanced to the championship game after beating West Orange in the playoffs.

Coaches said the players demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and skill throughout the season.
