Water Main Repairs Shut Down Trail Place In Madison
The borough estimates that the road will be shut down for about two weeks.
MADISON, NJ — Members of the Water Department are still working to fix the damage after the water main break that caused little to no water pressure for some Madison residents yesterday.
Officials anticipate that the road will remain closed in both directions for the next two weeks as emergency work on the water main break on Trail Place in Madison continues.
It was not immediately clear what caused the water main to break, but a separate break that happened this week on Belleau Avenue was attributed to hairline fractures and not related to any construction work.

The water main break will require reconstruction on Belleau Avenue tomorrow. Before 7:30 a.m, residents are asked to move their cars to Chateau Thierry Avenue because access will be restricted once paving is done.
"Users who might experience discolored water in the area are asked to run it until it is clear before using it for drinking, cooking, and or bathing," officials said.
