2 Mahwah Students Win National Merit Scholarships: See Career Goals, College Choice

10 more Bergen County students have won National Merit Scholarships for college, including 2 from Mahwah.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Several more National Merit Scholarship winners from Bergen County were announced this week — including two from Mahwah who attended different high schools.

The competitive annual scholarships are used for all four years of college, and are awarded based on PSAT scores, recommendations, and more.

Last month, a slew of Bergen County winners was announced, as well as their career goals. (See the previous story linked here.)

This week, the nonprofit announced a few more winners whose scholarships will be specifically provided by the schools they attend in fall.

National Merit Scholarships guarantee students $1,000 to $10,000 per year during college.

Purdue University: Purdue University is a state-assisted university system with students on five campuses. Among the 25 largest colleges and universities in the nation, Purdue's West Lafayette campus enrollment exceeds 34,000.
