Allegations Claim Members of Ramapo College Baseball Team Chased Deer Off Campus
The Student Code of Conduct states students may not cause "intentional or reckless harm or other physical injury to campus wildlife..."

Mahwah Police are now looking into allegations that members of the Ramapo College Baseball Team chased deer off campus on March 24, according to NorthJersey.com.
In a statement posted on their Facebook page, Ramapo College said the allegations are “disturbing,” and if correct, are “distressing.”
According to the statement, Ramapo’s Student Code of Conduct states the following is prohibited against wildlife:

31a. Causing intentional or reckless harm or other physical injury to campus wildlife including the purposeful destruction of these creatures’ natural habitats.
The penalties for violations include “an official warning, suspension of activity privileges, probation and expulsion,” and possibly even more.

Although the statement says an investigation ”concluded that deer were not struck or touched,” Ramapo College says they are “taking the matter very seriously.”
