
Sherry Glied, a nationally recognized health care authority, will discuss the ramifications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPAC) at a Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce special luncheon on Thursday, February 7, at Hilton Woodcliff Lake, 200 Tice Boulevard, Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey 07677. The noon-time special luncheon is sponsored by UHY Employee Benefits Consulting Services, Inc.
Dr. Glied holds economics degrees from Yale (BA), University of Toronto (MA), and Harvard (Ph.D.) and has written a book titled “Chronic Condition,” which details the subject of Health Care Reform. Dr. Glied has been elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Social Insurance and the Board of Academy Health. In addition, she has served on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Currently, Glied is a Professor at Columbia University’s Joseph L. Mailman School of Public Health.
