Play for PINK Founder is Chamber's Humanitarian of the Year

The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 22nd Annual Golf Outing and Humanitarian Dinner will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013, at the Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo, NY. We will be honoring Mrs. Laura Lassman, President and Founder of Play For Pink P.I.N.K.®, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization focused on raising funds for breast cancer research, as the Chamber’s 2013 Humanitarian of the Year.

“We are just getting started so there are many ways everyone can get involved: buy a sponsorship, play golf or tennis, attend the dinner, donate prizes, advertise in our journal or volunteer,” encourages Deborah Richin, VP Golf.  “This year there are also golf clinics and tennis clinics available for those who want to brush up on their games.” Members and non-members can showcase their business, enjoy the daytime activities, and top off a great day with dinner at the main Clubhouse.

A community philanthropist, Mrs. Lassman has chosen Play For P.I.N.K. as the recipient of the charitable portion of the net proceeds from this Chamber event. Play For P.I.N.K is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds to fight breast cancer, by creating and promoting awareness of breast cancer through sporting and lifestyle events including men’s and women’s golf tournaments, tennis, swimming, card games, equestrian events, and shopping benefits. Their commitment is to contribute 100% of all funds raised to their beneficiary, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
