Ridge Student Wins Earth Day Pizza Contest

Mahwah student Michael Patella won an Earth Day poster contest held by R & S Landscaping of Midland Park, N.J.

He created a poster which best exemplifies New Jersey's floral life. His 6th grade reading teacher, Mrs. Zaccone, told the students about the contest and that one of the prizes was a pizza party. Michael worked on his poster and submitted it, hoping to win that pizza party for his class.

Ginny Priz from R & S Landscaping notified Michael on May 9that he was the First Place Winner of the contest, out of 100 entrants.
Michael was very excited when he heard the news. 

Julie Watson of R & S Landscaping presented Michael with his First Place Certificate on June 17, during the pizza party in class at Ramapo Ridge Middle School.
