Too soon? Stores have set up their back-to-school displays. Here's how many days are left of summer vacation until Mahwah schools reopen.
MAHWAH, NJ — While some parents are still figuring out the patchwork of childcare, day camp, and vacation for the rest of summer (which makes summer pretty expensive), stores like Walgreen's have already arranged their back-to-school displays, including blackboards for photos on the first day.
So how many days of summer vacation are left for public school parents, anyway?
Here in New Jersey, school almost always starts after Labor Day.

This is the 2023-2024 school calendar in Mahwah (but always check back for updates).
The first day of school is tentatively Wednesday, Sept. 6, although faculty is to report before that.

The first day off is Monday, Sept. 25, for Yom Kippur.
