MAHWAH, NJ — School planning has already begun in Mahwah, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day.

Most districts in New Jersey start after Labor Day (which is Monday, Sept. 4, 2023 this year).

First Day for students: Wednesday, Sept. 6

NJEA Convention: Thursday, Nov. 9-12.

Thanksgiving Break: Thursday, Nov. 23-26.

Winter Break: Saturday, Dec. 23-Monday, Jan. 1.
