Census Estimates Bump in Mahwah's Population Since 2010
More people live in the township, the county, and the state now than did during the 2010 Census, estimates reveal.

Mahwah’s population is growing, according to 2012 population estimates released by the US Census Bureau last week.
According to the statistics, the township’s population jumped from 25,921 in 2010 to an estimated 26,168 – an estimate as of July 1, 2012. The 0.95% increase means Mahwah’s population is growing at a slightly faster rate than the state's, which saw a 0.7% bump in the population over the same time period.
On the whole, Bergen County is growing at a quicker pace. The county's populaton grew by 1.36% from 2010 to 2012.
