Mahwah HS Congratulates American Mathematics Competition Participants

Two Mahwah High School students also qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), which will be held on March 19.

Congratulations are in order for over 50 Mahwah High School students who participated in the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America.

Out of the 53 Mahwah High School students that competed in the AMC, Jack Xiong was the school winner for the AMC 12 with the highest school score of 111, while Ben Koa received a 102 and Josie McMurdy received a score of 84, according to Mahwah High School.

Elise Kronbichler was named the school winner for the AMC 10 with a score of 93, while Joshua Sequeira received a score of 84 and Jack Darrow received a score of 82.5.

As a result of scoring over 99, Xiong and Koa have qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), which will be held on March 19.
