Mahwah Museum Hosts Panel Discussion on History of Mahwah Fire Department April 9
The discussion will highlight the 100th year anniversary of the Mahwah Fire Department.
The Mahwah Lecture Series will host a panel discussion entitled “100 Years: The Mahwah Fire Department” on Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m., where panelists and former Fire Department members Bill Dator, Edson Wiley, Lee Collins and Tom Dewan will discuss the department’s history.
The Mahwah Fire Department was organized on December 28, 1914, and has served the community for 100 years. The discussion will highlight those 100 years by a panel featuring residents Bill Dator, a member of the MFD since 1964, Edson Wiley, a MFD member since 1962, Lee Collins, MFD member since 1967 and Tom Dewan, a MFD member since 1982.
Those in attendance will learn about the history of the Mahwah Fire Department and help the department mark its 100th anniversary. Discussion and questions are also welcome.

The discussion will be held at the Ramapo Reformed Church, located at 100 Island Road. in Mahwah. Admission is free to Museum members and $3 for non-members. Refreshments will be served.
