Mahwah Police Add Care Trak System to Department
The system works by tracking the location of a special needs child or adult who is wearing a Care Trak transmitter.

The Mahwah Police Department will add a Care Trak System to help find adults with dementia or Alzheimer’s and special needs children, Chief Batelli announced according to Cliffview Pilot.
The system, which will be bought by the Mahwah Municipal Alliance and donated to Mahwah police, works by tracking the location of someone wearing a Care Trak wrist transmitter.
According to Care Trak Systems, “thousands of lost individuals were rescued by trained emergency responders in an average of less than 30 minutes.” The system also has a 100 percent success rate.
