Nearly $7,000 Raised In Mahwah For Woman Seriously Injured In Crash
A local woman who was seriously hurt in a crash on Route 59 is the recipient of a fundraiser organized in Mahwah.

MAHWAH, NJ — A local woman who was seriously injured in an Aug. 28 crash on Route 59 is the recipient of over $6,700 raised, as of Tuesday, according to a GoFundMe page organized early September in Mahwah.
Nikki Leber was driving home on the state highway in West Nyack when the multiple-vehicle crash occurred, destroying her car and leaving her two broken wrists, a broken rib, a bruised lung, a vertebral and a foot fracture, the fundraiser said.
Leber, who was described as a loving person with a sense of humor, will need help to do everything from feeding herself to getting dressed in the mornings, as she recovers over the next few months, the fundraiser said.

"Hopefully, in that time, Nikki’s body will heal and these two can get back to doing what matters most - living and laughing - together," the fundraiser said. "Until then, we would be grateful if you could find it in your hearts to do, even a little, to help support (Leber)."
