Passaic Co. Man Who Possessed 600+ Child Porn Images Sentenced
A NJ man was sentenced to seven years in prison after possessing hundreds of images of child sexual abuse, federal officials said.
WEST MILFORD, NJ - A Passaic County man was sentenced to seven years in prison this week after possessing hundreds of images of child sexual abuse, federal officials said.
Vaughn Tiedeman, 49, of West Milford, previously pleaded guilty to receiving and possessing child pornography in Newark federal court, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. The sentence was imposed Thursday.
Between July 2018 and April 2019, Tiedeman downloaded more than 600 images of child sexual abuse, including images of young children and depictions of violence, according to documents filed in this case and statements made in court.

In addition to the prison sentence, Tiedeman must complete 10 years of supervised release and pay $9,000 in restitution to the victims.
U.S. Attorney Sellinger credited special agents of the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard W. Reinhold, with the investigation leading to the sentencing.
