I am writing in support of the re-election of Dave May for Mahwah Township Council. I have known Dave for over 20 years. In his time on the Council, Dave has been a proponent for long term planning for the township’s critical infrastructure (roads, water system, DPW building, etc.), he reached out to the Mahwah BOE to combine the BOE’s paving program with the Township’s Road program to reduce costs, he advocated to have the annual road program bids advertised and awarded earlier so that projects would be completed earlier at a lower cost, and he has been a strong and informed leader helping the Township navigate its affordable housing obligations thereby avoiding costly litigation and reducing the amount of new development. Dave has a proven track record of serving Mahwah’s residents with a focus on improving services and reducing costs. I encourage every Mahwah voter to cast their ballot for Dave May in Column 2.
