Superintendent Search Meeting Set in Teaneck

The Teaneck Board of Education is soliciting community input on qualities sought in a superintendent in a forum next Wednesday.

TEANECK, NJ — The Teaneck Board of Education is holding a virtual community forum from 7 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday to seek district and community input on qualities sought in a superintendent, the school board said in a news release.

"As we search for the future leader of our district, our board wants to make sure the community is a part of the superintendent search process," school board president Sebastian Rodriguez told Patch. "Their input will help to guide us in our decision."

Matthew Lee, a New Jersey School Boards Association field service representative, will lead the discussion, the release added.

The meeting comes after former Superintendent Christopher Irving's announcement that he is leaving the district in July, a "mutual decision," Irving said in an April 8 letter emailed to parents, between him and the school board.
