Woman Charged With Arson In Fair Lawn Car Fire: Prosecutors
On Feb. 16, a Bergenfield woman was charged with arson, prosecutors said.
BERGENFIELD, NJ — A Bergenfield woman was charged with arson on Feb. 16 after an investigation found that she had set fire to a vehicle, Bergen County prosecutors said.
On Feb. 9, Fair Lawn police responded to a vehicle fire, where they found that the fire had already been extinguished. There was a cotton rag in the gas cap of the car that appeared to have been lit on fire. The investigation found that Daniella Aliaga, 23, had set the car on fire and slashed its tires, prosecutors said.
Aliaga was charged with one count of second-degree aggravated arson, third-degree arson and fourth-degree causing or risking widespread injury or damage. She is awaiting her first appearance in court at Bergen County Jail, according to a statement.
