MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from Oct. 13 to 19.

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at approximately 4:48 p.m., a 56-year-old Manalapan resident reported that approximately $900 was fraudulently charged to credit cards belonging to the victim. There was no monetary loss reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report.

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a 74-year-old Manalapan resident reported being assaulted by a 78-year-old Carteret resident after a verbal altercation on Covered Bridge Boulevard. No injuries were reported and no complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Reginald Grant took the report.

On Monday, October 18, 2021, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a 50-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a 50-year-old Millstone resident illegally dumped items at a business located at 450 Rt. 33 in Manalapan. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident, which was investigated by Patrolman

On Sunday, October 17, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a 46-year-old Monroe resident reported being assaulted by a 33-year-old Marlboro resident while in the parking lot of a business located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan. No injuries were reported and no complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski took the report.

On Sunday, October 17, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a 42-year-old Marlboro resident reported that an unknown actor had entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed items valued at approximately $1,000 while it was parked at the Battleground Country Club, located at 40 Millhurst Road in Manalapan. Patrolman William Dutton took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, at approximately 6:10 p.m. a 24-year-old Freehold resident and a 29-year-old Freehold resident were involved in a physical altercation in the area of Wilson Avenue in Manalapan, resulting in minor injuries to each party. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jeremy Slad took the report.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 for motor vehicle violations. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Khalil Alexander, a 28-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Newark, New Jersey, who is employed as a nurse, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Madison Joint Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Mr. Alexander was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman James Guarino was arresting officer.

On Friday, October 15 2021, at approximately 10:50 a.m., a 34-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor stole a license plate from the garage of a Colony Lane residence. Patrol Officer Jean Letts handled the report.

On Friday, October 15 2021, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a 63-year-old Brick Township resident reported that and unknown actor stole three New Jersey license plates from vehicles that were parked at a business located on Millhurst Road in Manalapan. Patrolman Kyle Earley took the report.

On Friday, October 15, 2021, at approximately 4:54 a.m., a 58-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) stole a 2019 Honda Insight, valued at approximately $21,000 while it was parked at a Lamb Lane residence. The actor(s) were able to gain access to the vehicle from another unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Friday, October 15, 2021, at approximately 2:58 a.m., a 23-year-old Manalapan resident reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lamb Lane. It was later discovered that unknown actor(s) gained access to an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on Lamb Lane and removed items valued at approximately $1,100. Those actor(s) then moved the vehicle from the driveway to the street. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Ramsey Police Department arrested Taquaiza Smith, a 25-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female resident of Newark, New Jersey, regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Patrolman Sean McCarthy and Patrolman Matthew Porricelli responded and took custody of Ms. Smith, who was subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in Manalapan Township for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Anthony R. Carbone, a 30-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Millstone Township, who is employed as a laborer, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Mr. Carbone was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, at approximately 3:55 p.m., a 70-year-old Manalapan resident reported receiving a credit card in the victim’s name via mail that they did not apply for. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Matthew Meyler took the report.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at approximately 1:05 p.m. a 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor opened a credit card account in the victim’s name and made purchases in the amount of $20. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a 41-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed via social media. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie took the report.
