On July 27, 2021, at approximately 6:06 p.m., a 51-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) filed for unemployment using the victim’s personal information. The incident was handled by Patrolman James Guarino.

On July 27, 2021, at approximately 5:27 p.m., a 37-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported receiving several harassing phone calls from a 44-year-old Manalapan Township resident. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report.

On July 27, 2021, at approximately 12:31 p.m., a 45-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) utilized their personal information to file for unemployment benefits. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.

On July 27, 2021, at approximately 9:22 a.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported paying $1,200.00 for a fence installation at a Yorktowne Drive residence and the work was never completed. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report.

On July 26, 2021, at approximately 7:07 p.m., a 28-year-old Freehold Township resident reported being harassed on social media and receiving numerous text messages from a 26-year-old Chantilly, West Virginia resident. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack took the report.

On July 26, 2021, at approximately 3:39 p.m., a 64-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor(s) filed for unemployment using the victim’s personal information. Patrolman James Guarino took the report.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, at approximately 3:13 a.m., a 45-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) stole a 2016 Honda Civic from a community parking lot on Oak Knoll Drive. The value of the vehicle is unknown at this time. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, at approximately 2:37 a.m., a 37-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) had gained access to the victim’s vehicle after it was left unlocked in the driveway of an Ivanhoe Drive residence. Two suspects, who were only described as a white and black male in their early twenties, were observed fleeing the scene. No items were reported to be missing from the vehicle. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at approximately 6:50 p.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being harassed by a 64-year-old Manalapan resident. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at approximately 5:32 a.m., the Manalapan Township Police Department was dispatched to Iron Ore Road, in the area of Mount Vernon Road, for a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash. A passerby traveling on Iron Ore Road reported that an overturned pickup truck had been located in a wooded area just off the roadway. Sergeant Philip Accatatta, Patrolman Jason Vigneault, and Patrolman Brian Schank responded to the area to investigate. The Manalapan Township Fire Company #1, the Monroe Township Fire Department, Robert Wood University Paramedics, and the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad also responded the scene. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as a 25-year-old Roebling resident who was pronounced deceased on scene. Manalapan Township Police Department Traffic Safety Officer, Detective Dominick Donatelli, Jr., responded to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for approximately five hours while the investigation was being conducted. This incident remains under investigation by Detective Dominick Donatelli. On Saturday, July 24, 2021, at approximately 3:54 a.m., a 49-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being assaulted by what were described as four unidentified juveniles. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident and the juveniles fled the area. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack was the investigating officer.

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to police headquarters to report that unknown actor(s) used their personal information to fraudulently file for unemployment benefits. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.

On Friday, July 23, 2021, at 5:15 p.m., a 47-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to police headquarters to report that on July 20, 2021, unknown actor(s) used the victim’s personal information to fraudulently file for unemployment benefits. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski took the report.

On Friday, July 23, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a 64-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being assaulted by a 63-year-old Manalapan resident in the area of Amberly Drive. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report.

On Friday, July 23, 2021, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a 70-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being the victim of a grant program fraud, resulting in the loss of approximately $50,000 over the course of the last several months. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Friday, July 23, 2021, at approximately 9:16 a.m., a 47-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) used their personal information to open two Wells Fargo checking accounts. The accounts were closed before any transactions were made and no monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jeff Emslie.

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 10:31 p.m., employees of the Best Buy store, located at 15 Route 9 south in Manalapan, reported that an actor, described as wearing a dark blue shirt, black pants and face covering, had been inside the business after store hours and attempted to steal multiple Apple products. After being located by store employees, the subject fled on foot towards Route 9. No proceeds were reported stolen. The incident was handled by Patrolman John Lightbody, which is pending further investigation.

On Thursday July 22, 2021, at 12:14 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) gained access to their Amazon credit card information to purchase a computer valued at $1,023.70. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation. On Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 3:30 p.m., a 51-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) used their personal information to fraudulently file for unemployment benefits.
