Fraud, Disorderly Conduct, Trespassing: Manalapan Police Blotter
Manalapan Police reported two incidents of fraud from Dec. 10 through Dec. 16.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, disorderly conduct, trespassing and more from Dec. 10 through Dec. 16.
Dec. 10
A Manalapan business reported that $6,311.48 worth of machinery was fraudulently purchased due to a bounced Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment that was used to make the purchase. A monetary loss of $6,311.48 was reported at this time.
Dec. 11
At 12:11 p.m., Manalapan Police responded to the Manalapan Library on 125 Symmes Drive for a report of a disorderly person.

After an initial investigation, a man was arrested in connection with the incident and found to be a wanted person out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The man was brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed and lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Dec. 15
A 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their phone and email accounts were being hacked. Additionally, the victim’s bank account was hacked, leaving the victim at a monetary loss of $320,000 at this time.

At 9:53 p.m., patrols responded to a grocery store in Manalapan for a report of trespassing. Upon further investigation, a man was arrested in connection with the incident and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released in lieu of a future court date.
Dec. 16
At 8:46 a.m., a patrolman responded to a department store in Manalapan for a report of shoplifting. Employees reported that two unknown people were seen removing $796.37 worth of merchandise without making payments. The case is pending further investigation.
At 12:10 p.m., two unidentified people entered a Manalapan business and shoplifted merchandise valued at $374.96. The report is pending further investigation.
At 1:22 p.m., a patrolman responded to an electronics store in Manalapan for a report of an employee shoplifting. Upon further investigation, an employee was arrested in connection with the incident and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released with a future court date.
