MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from Nov. 3 to 9.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at approximately 7:25 p.m., a 57-year-old Keyport resident reported that an unknown male actor armed with a knife approached an employee of the Lukoil Service Station, located at 360 Route 9 in Manalapan, and demanded money. The suspect, who was described as a white male, between 20 and 30 years of age, wearing a black knit hat, black mask, black jacket, and black pants, fled on foot with $99 in cash proceeds. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300 or Detective Seth Kreizman at 732-446-8371. Patrolman John Lightbody and Patrolman Everett McNulty handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported an unknown actor(s) had entered their parked motor vehicle that was left unlocked during the overnight hours on Quid Place. The actor(s) removed two items with an estimated combined value of $380. Patrolman Sean McCarthy handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 12:57 p.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that a credit card was charged $3,000 without authorization. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handle the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 11:54 a.m., a 65-year-old Manalapan Township business owner reported that unknown actor(s) gained access to a business bank account and completed multiple unauthorized transactions totaling $6,245. On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 11:09 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on Amberly Drive for a motor vehicle violation. An occupant of the vehicle, identified as Richard Bentley, a 40-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Manalapan Township, who is employed as a team leader, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Old Bridge Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Mr. Bentley was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance, pending a new court date. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 8:53 a.m., a 45-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported an unlocked vehicle was burglarized during the early morning hours while parked at a Dancer Lane residence. No items were reported missing from the vehicle. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.

On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a 46-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) stole an unlocked 2014 BMW valued at approximately $16,000 from a Sheffield Drive residence. The keys were reportedly left inside the vehicle. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, November 14, 2021, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a 51-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) attempted to open a Bank of America credit card account using the victim’s pedigree information. The attempts were denied and no monetary loss was reported. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie handled the report.

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, at approximately 3:01 p.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan and reported unknown actor(s) stole New Jersey license plates valued at $150 from the mail. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.

On Friday, November 12, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m., an 18-year-old Brick Township resident reported being assaulted by an unknown male actor while in the area of Colson Drive and Bristol Road. Injuries were sustained by the victim as a result of this incident, which is pending further investigation. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the initial report.

On Friday, November 12, 2021, at 5:31 p.m., a 19-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported being harassed and threatened on social media by unknown actor(s). Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., a 47-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported unknown actor(s) opened an account in victim’s name and charged $4,853. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at approximately 5:35 p.m., a 66-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) attempted to transfer $5,000. from the victim’s savings account. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli handled the report.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a 53-year-old Freehold resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported landscape equipment, valued at $31,262, was stolen from a Park Avenue business in Manalapan Township sometime between July 2021 and November 2021. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
