Car Broken Into At Symmes Road Commuter Lot In Manalapan

Police say a car window was shattered at the Symmes Road commuter parking lot in Manalapan, and the compartments were opened.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A car was broken into at the Symmes Road commuter parking lot on May 24, a resident reported.

Police said sometime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day, someone shattered the front passenger window of the car and opened various compartments. No items were reported missing, and police are investigating.

In another incident, a Millstone resident told police the someone vandalized a tractor and a portable restroom on Pinewood Drive sometime between May 28 and May 30. The cost of the damage was estimated at approximately $850.

  • Someone stole a wallet May 28 from a diner at Bonefish Grill, 55 Route 9. The 67-year-old East Windsor resident's wallet had $20 in cash, credit cards, and a driver’s license.
  • A wallet was stolen from a shopper at the Wegmans supermarket, 55 Route 9 in Manalapan.
  • Employees of the Target department store, 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported a theft of approximately $1,720 worth of merchandise from the store on May 25.
  • Employees of Home Goods, 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that on May 23 between 7:05 p.m. and 7:11 p.m., two unidentified females shoplifted $1,269.98 worth of merchandise from the store.

All the matters are being investigated by police.
