Car Theft, Car Burglaries Reported By Manalapan Police

Vehicle theft reported at Woodhollow Drive residence in Manalapan.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A resident reported the early morning theft of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Woodhollow Drive residence.

The theft took place on June 9 between 4 a.m. to 5 a.m., police said.

Someone unknown to the owner "removed a vehicle" parked in the driveway, police said.

Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report, which is being investigated.

There were several incidents of car burglaries reported in the township too, according to a weekly police report from Deputy Chief Leonard Maltese:

  • On June 9, a resident reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Debracy Court residence. The victim reported a wallet containing several credit cards and a New Jersey driver’s license as missing.
  • Also on June 9, a resident reported that in the early morning hours someone entered an unlocked camper while it was parked in the rear of a Millhurst Road residence. The suspect fled from the area fled before police arrived.
  • On June 7, a Howell resident reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the parking lot of a Route 9 business and stole a garage door opener, valued at approximately $100.

All matters are under investigation.
