Gordons Corner Santa Gives Altruistic Manalapan Girl Bieber Tickets

Inspired by this young Manalapan girl's benevolence, members of the Manalapan community made sure she received a special gift from Santa.

A very generous 8-year-old Manalapan girl, Mia Cooper-Furio, received a very special gift from Santa Claus this year - two tickets to a Justin Bieber concert.

After being saddened by the fact that the Gordons Corner Fire Company Santa Claus did not venture down Birmingham Drive last year, the street where Mia lives, Mia’s mother, Heleen Cooper-Furio, reached out to request Santa’s presence this year.

Cooper-Furio contacted Manalapan Police Department Patrolman Kevin Rudistky who then relayed the message to Gordons Corner Fire Company Chief Lee Maksimlk who made sure that Santa visited Birmingham Drive on his run this year.

Cooper-Furio told Rudistky that Mia consistently impresses her with her altruistic nature. After Hurricane Sandy ravaged the area, Mia went through all of her toys and donated a large bag to children who lost their homes, she helped collect school supplies for Atlantic Highlands children who lost all of their belongings, and Mia also helped her mother make holiday meal trays for those who were still without power in Staten Island on Thanksgiving.

“She recently celebrated her eighth birthday and asked if we can donate some of those toys and gifts as well,” Cooper-Furio told Rudistky.

Hearing this, Rudistky wanted to do something special for Mia. Knowing that Mia is a Justin Bieber fan, Rudistky planned on surprising Mia with tickets to the Justin Bieber concert being held at the Prudential Center in July 2013. He told Police Captain Jeffrey Morrell his wish and Morrell contacted Bruce Ampolsky, the owner of Monmouth Tickets.

After learning about Mia, Ampolsky donated two Justin Bieber concert tickets for Mia and on Saturday, Dec. 22 Santa Claus rode down Birmingham Drive and delivered the tickets to the benevolent Mia.
