Manalapan Man, 75, Airlifted After Being Hit By Car On Friday

The man was hit by a car Friday morning and was airlifted with serious injuries to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A 75-year-old man from Manalapan was hit by a car Friday morning as he was walking on Arbach Lane between Sheridan Road and Spruce Way, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

He was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with serious injuries and in critical condition.

The driver of the car (an Acura MDX SUV) was a 56-year-old man, also from Manalapan. He stayed on the scene and was cooperative, according to authorities.

The Manalapan Township Police Department first responded to the incident at around 7:40 a.m.

The circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.

The investigation is being led by members of the Manalapan Township Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team.
