Manalapan Man Accused of Firebombing Home Out on Bail
Michael Dotro was arrested in connection with a fire set to a Monroe Police Captain's home.

The Edison police officer accused of setting fire to a police captain’s home is out on bail, Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman James O’Neill confirmed Thursday morning.
Michael Dotro, of Manalapan, was released Tuesday night on $2 million bail, according to The Star Ledger. O’Neill confirmed that Dotro’s family provided the bail money, with his two brothers providing $510,000 and his parents providing $1.49 million.

Dotro stands accused of firebombing the home of Edison Police Capt. Mark Anderko in May. Dotro was charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated arson in connection with the fire at Anderko’s Monroe Township home.
According to The Star Ledger, the provisions of Dotro’s release include surrendering his weapons and remaining in New Jersey. He is not permitted to have any contact with Anderko or his family, or members of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, and he is not permitted in the Edison Municipal Complex or the police department.
