Phillip H. Lewis, 59, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark. Born in Sidney, New York he had resided in Parlin before moving to Manalapan 29 years ago. Before his retirement 3 years ago he was the owner of President Park Gulf in Parlin for 30 years. Phillip was a member and past treasurer of Sayreville Wreckers Association.
He is predeceased by his parents, Kermit & Mary Jane Lewis. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Janet Del Galdo Lewis; his daughter, Kristin Lewis of Edison; his son, Daniel Lewis of Manalapan; his siblings and their spouses, Mary Anne Harmon, Joyce & John Lawrence, Fran & Lloyd Warren, Quentin Lewis and Thomas Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Friday 8pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with private cremation to follow. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Phillip's name be made to Sayreville Association of Brain Injured Children, 251 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, N.J. 08872.
