Manalapan PD Will Enforce Halloween Curfew For Minors

​Township officials said the curfew would be imposed "for the safety of the residents​."​

MANALAPAN, NJ — The Manalapan Township Police Department will enforce a special curfew for minors on Halloween.

The curfew will be in effect during mischief night, between 9 p.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on Sunday, and also between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 6 a.m. on Monday.

Township officials said the curfew would be imposed "for the safety of the residents."

Anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted in any public place, public street or public property in the Township of Manalapan during curfew hours.

The exceptions are:

  • If the minor is returning from work, night school, fraternity or church or school meetings or on the way to or returning from a doctor’s office
  • If the minor is accompanied by their guardian over the age of 18 years.

"We wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween," officials said.
