Manalapan Police To Host National Night Out Festivities
Manalapan police will be presenting National Night Out Aug. 1, an event to build relationships between the community and first responders.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan will mark National Night Out with a pretty cool event on Tuesday, Aug. 1 - a special appearance of characters from "Frozen."
The event is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. outside PC Richard & Son, Manalapan EpiCentre, 55 Route 9.
And in addition to attractions such as a petting zoo, pony rides and inflatable games, there will be a special appearance by Princesses Anna and Elsa from "Frozen."

Visitors can also look forward to games, prizes, a game truck, and free food. Explosive Entertainment is featured.
National Night Out is held in most states on the first Tuesday of August. It began decades ago with residents turning on porch lights, but it now is a community event.

"National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances," the organization establishing the program says on its website.
