Manalapan Resident of 45 Years Dies at 85
Anne Rohmeyer was a seventh and eighth grade CCD teacher at St. Thomas More Church.

Anne C. Rohmeyer, 85, of Manalapan, passed away on May 11, 2013, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there for 40 years before moving to Manalapan 45 years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan, and taught seventh and eighth grade CCD at the church for many years. Growing up in Brooklyn, Anne played high school basketball for Girls Commercial High School in Brooklyn and was a lifelong NY Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers fan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick; her seven children and their spouses, Nancy and Raymond Biese of Jackson, Carl and Roseann of Toms River, Stephen and Diane of Deltona, FL, Karen and Joseph Kowitski of Little Silver, Paul and Jennifer of Belle Mead, Lisa and Peter Ames of Jackson, and Andrew and Ann of Englishtown; 19 grandchildren, Alexander (Tara), Katherine, Suzanne, Douglas (Lauren), David, Mark, Nicole, Rebecca, Erik, Amanda, Jenna, Joseph, Terence, August, Madeline, Gabriel, Michael, Penelope and Mary; and great grandson, Zackary.
Family and friends are invited to visit today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
