Manalapan Teen Committee Seeks Candy Donations For Seniors

The township's teen leadership committee will be assembling candy bags to donate to seniors ahead of Valentine's Day. Here's how to donate:

MANALAPAN, NJ - Manalapan Township’s Teen Leadership Committee is seeking candy donations to give to local seniors ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The teens will be meeting on Feb. 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Community Center (114 Rt. 33) to assemble bags of the donated candy, the township said in a municipal notice.

Manalapan residents of all ages are encouraged to bring donated candy to the meeting. Suggested candies include individually-wrapped hard sweets such as butterscotch, peppermints and chocolate, and avoiding chewy candies like gummies, nougat or caramels.

Candy is not required to attend the meeting, the township wrote.

“Feel free to bring a friend,” the township added. “We look forward to seeing you there!”
