Rosie Grant, 95, of Manalapan, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Centra State Hospital in Freehold, NJ. She was born March 1, 1918 in Sparta, GA to the late Charlie Rocker and Leuwill Rocker. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Roy Grant; 2 sons, James Edward and Otis Grant; 4 sisters, Mozell, Mary Alice, Thelma and Maqurite; and 2 brothers, Charlie and Seth. She is survived by her 4 sons, John of Perth Amboy, NJ, Lamar of Ocean Twp NJ, Dennis of Neptune, NJ, and Leon of Manalapan, NJ; 9 daughters, Dorothy, Shirley, Marian, and Nota of Freehold, NJ, Kathyrn of Manalapan, NJ, Doretha of Long Branch, NJ, Mildred of Red Bank, NJ, Diane and Charmon of Desoto, TX; 56 grandchildren; 103 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 10 am Saturday, May 18 until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 700 Grand Ave. Ste 2, Asbury Park. Interment will follow the service at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
