Marlboro Man Indicted on Manalapan Bank Robbery Charges

Deynega is charged with one county of armed robbery in the case.

Paul Deynega, 23, of Lansdale Drive in Marlboro was indicted this week on charges of armed robbery after allegedly robbing a Manalapan bank.

The Sun National Bank robbery occurred in June, and Deynega was arrested days later at the Marlboro Motor Lodge with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Marlboro Township Police, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Public Informations Officer Charles Webster.

According to the indictment, Deynega allegedly used force to harm three people in the process of the theft and threatened the victims with a gun.

Deynega is charged with one county of armed robbery in the case.

In 2008, Deynega was charged with burglary and credit card theft, according to The News Transcript.

An indictment does not indicate absolute guilt or a conviction. It only means that a county grand jury found there was enough evidence to proceed with a prosecution. Guilt or innocence will be tried and determined in a court of law.
