Malvagna was taken into custody and brought to the 1st Precinct for arrest processing, police said. Rexha was removed by EMS to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.

“I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny,” Malvagna reportedly said, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the New York Post.

According to New York authorities, Malvagna was charged with two counts third-degree assault; second-degree aggravated harassment; third-degree attempted assault and second-degree harassment.

He was arraigned and released without bail. His next court date is July 31, New York authorities said.

“I’m good, yeah, I’m feeling alright,” Rexha sang in a Monday TikTok update, revealing stitches across her eyebrow and a black eye.
