Joseph H. Goerge, 86, of Clarksburg, Millstone Township, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, at The Manor, Freehold. Born on Staten Island, NY, he lived in Lake Tamarack before moving to Clarksburg 20 years ago. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Joe worked as a machinist for the City of NY Department of Marine and Aviation for many years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Aileen, in 2011. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Joseph and Robyn Goerge of Somerset, Paul and Linda Borgia of Doylestown, PA, Valerie and Eddie Sibilia of Freehold, Lynn and John Heiser of Staten Island, NY, Linda and Vincent Finley of Melbourne, FL, Carol Moran of Staten Island, NY, and Nancy and George Hartigan of Manalapan; two sisters, Margaret Mathiasen and Veronica Keleman; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, May 30, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, at St. Joseph Parish Church, Millstone Township. Interment will follow at the Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
