A person has been struck and killed on Route 18 in Marlboro, <a href="http://www.app.com/story/news/crime/jersey-mayhem/2014/11/13/marlboro-route-fatal/18982997/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Asbury Park Press</a>.The accident occurred this afternoon on Route 18 south by the Tennent Road exit. <a href="http://www.511nj.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">511nj.org is reporting</a> that police have closed Route 18 to traffic to conduct an investigation, beginning at Route 9 southbound and stretching to Old Bridge Township. Drivers are being warned of ten minute delays as of 4:15 p.m., and to use caution. Commuters should consider alternative routes for their drive home this evening. Patch will be updating this story as more information becomes available.
