Pricey Watches Stolen from Manalapan Home While Residents Slept

The watches, valued at over $70,000, were the only items taken from the home.

Five expensive watches were stolen from a Center Drive home in Manalapan while the homeowner and his family were asleep upstairs, according to police. 

The homeowner reported the burglary at around 4:45 a.m. on June 12 when he awoke for the day to find his kitchen ransacked and five watches, valued at over $70,000, stolen from his home. No other items were taken, according to police. 

Entry to the home was gained through a first floor, rear window that was left unlocked. The burglary occurred between 1:10 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., police said.

Another Manalapan home was burglarized just two days after this burglary, police have reported. A Longbow Drive home was burglarized on June 14 where an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen. 

The homeowner told police that the incident occurred between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. while she was out of the house. When she returned home she found her kitchen window broken and jewelry missing. Manalapan police and the Marlboro K-9 unit responded to the scene. This case is pending further investigation.
