Reenactment Salutes 235th Anniversary of Battle of Monmouth

Thousands of troops lined the fields of Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan on Saturday and Sunday to pay homage to the Revolutionary War battle for which the state park preserves. 

Visitors stepped back into the 18th century for a glimpse at what the grueling battle was like for the soldiers and their loved ones. They also could learn a great deal of history at the new, state-of-the-art visitor center that just opened to the public last Friday.
