Shoplifting, Theft: Manalapan Police Blotter

Four shoplifting incidents were reported to Manalapan Police between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported multiple incidents of shoplifting and theft from Sept. 25 through Oct. 1.

Sept. 25
A 24-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by someone they did not know.

Sept. 26
A 79-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone opened a credit card in their name and made $4,657.12 in fraudulent purchases.

Employees of the Wegmans located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan reported someone shoplifting $191.03 worth of merchandise.

Sept. 27
Employees of the Best Buy located at 15 Route 9 in Manalapan reported that someone shoplifted $2,499.93 worth of merchandise from the store on Sept. 15. As a result of police investigation, James J. Damico, 51, of Yonkers, New York, was charged with shoplifting.

Employees of the Wegmans located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan reported that a man and woman shoplifted $1,050.37 worth of merchandise from the store. As a result of police investigation, Hulya Balabanova, 51, of Woodbridge, and Roini Idadze, 57, of Woodbridge, were arrested and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and released after being issued summonses.

Employees of the same Wegmans reported that a man shoplifted $310.41 worth of merchandise from the store. As a result of police investigation, Goran Trposki, 52, of Freehold, was arrested and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued a summons.

Sept. 28
A 41-year-old Manalapan resident reported that three unknown people forced entry into a Mill Road home and then fled the area in a black vehicle. No items were reported stolen as a result of the incident.

A 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported that items worth $1,500 were stolen from a Crocus Drive home.

Oct. 1
Manalapan Ptlm. Abdoulaye Diagne took custody of Seth Dickson, 42, of Barnegat, after he was arrested by the Ocean Township Police Department regarding a warrant issued by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000. Dickson was brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.

Jesse Ponzo, 36, of Marlboro, was found to be in possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia at 310 Route 9 in Manalapan. Ponzo was arrested and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses.

Milton Maradiagabuezo, 20, of Manalapan, was found to be in possession of a controlled and dangerous substance after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Kingsley Drive. Maradiagabuezo was issued summonses for possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and unnamed motor vehicle violations.

A 69-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone stole the catalytic converter from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Ryan Road residence.
