MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from Dec. 22 to 28.
On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a 60-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor had utilized the victim’s personal information to create a fraudulent tax form for unemployment benefits. There was no monetary loss reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at approximately 12:09 p.m., a 43-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had scratched a vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of Home Goods, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

On Monday, December 27, 2021, at 12:58 p.m., a 65-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actors wrote and fraudulently cashed a check from the victim’s bank account. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.
On Friday, December 24, 2021, at 3:55 p.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) had removed $40.00 in cash from a Winthrop Drive residence. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Friday, December 24, 2021, at 1:45 p.m., a 70-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) obtained their personal checks through the mail and subsequently withdrew $8,000.00 in funds from the victim’s bank account. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, December 24, 2021, at 1:35 a.m., a structure fire was reported at a business located on Tracy Station Road. The Monroe Township, Englishtown, Manalapan Township, and Gordons Corner Fire Companies, as well as the Manalapan Township Fire Bureau, and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal responded. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 6:27 p.m., Patrolman Ryan Brady and Patrolman Christopher Schou took custody of Tamara Konovodoff, a 52-year-old, unemployed, divorced, female resident of Howell, who had been arrested by the Plumstead Police Department regarding warrants that were issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court totaling $3,000.00. Ms. Konovodoff as subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
On Saturday, December 23, 2021, at approximately 12:13 p.m., a 19-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that on December 23, 2021, an unknown actor had withdrawn $2,400.00 from the victim’s bank account. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.
On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 3:20 p.m., a 75-year-old Monroe resident, reported that unknown actors had stolen a catalytic converter, valued at approximately $1,100.00, from a 2019 Ford Recreational Vehicle while it was parked at a Wilson Avenue business. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski took the report.
On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 12:34 p.m. a 74-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) forwarded the victim’s mail without consent and opened two credit cards. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jeff Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 12:22 p.m., a 51-year-old Howell resident reported that at approximately 11:30 a.m., unknown actors stole a 2021 BMW X6, valued at $125,000.00 from the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts, located at 123 Route 33 in Manalapan. The keys are believed to have been left in the unlocked vehicle, which was subsequently recovered in Union Township.
