County, Local Leaders 'Light Up The Shore' To Honor 9/11 Heroes
All 53 municipalities in Monmouth County participated in the event last Saturday night.

BELMAR, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, along with all 53 Monmouth County municipalities, hosted “Light Up the Shore” events in honor of the lives lost and the fearless display of heroism by rescue teams and citizens who responded to the tragedy on September 11, 2001.
Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone and Commissioner Ross F. Licitra, along with County Clerk Christine G. Hanlon and County Sheriff Shaun Golden, were at the Belmar event, joining citizens and local officials in honoring lost loved ones and rescue workers.
“It was truly awe-inspiring to see the turnout across the County to honor the lives lost during the 9/11 attacks and to recognize the bravery and courage of our first responders who ran towards danger at risk of their own personal safety,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone.
